This calculator calculates the speciation of carbon dioxide, the carbonate alkalinity, A C, and the carbonate hardness, K H, in fresh water at atmospheric pressure. For reference, a total alkalinity level of 100-200 mg/L will stabilize the pH level in a fresh water body. Weak acids/bases are not taken into account in this calculation.
